The Hudson Valley and the Catskills are known for their beautiful
scenery and for the many fun attractions and natural landmarks.
The Hudson River and Esopus Creek and nature preserves along their
shores offer opportunity for walking, hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing,
swimming, and fishing.
The Hudson Valley is dotted with charming towns and villages, where
visitors can find good restaurants, interesting shops, art galleries,
and venues for entertainment. Saugerties is host to the Historic Lighthouse
on the Hudson River, and one would do well to visit Opus 40, a bluestone
freemason sculpture/park. The trendy Village of Woodstock, minutes
from Saugerties, has a thriving Village Green.
